Chamber Music

VSV is very proud of its Advanced Chamber Music Program. Under the wonderful direction of Ira Morris, the students over the last few years have performed the entire Schubert Quintet, the entire Brahms GM Sextett, and many more trios, quartets and quintets. At VSV, we have created, and are creating, a class of musicians who are well trained in small ensemble playing, so that they are able to listen at a very sophisticated level, and to play and perform with confidence, sensitivity and maturity.
CHAMBER MUSIC SCHEDULES 2010
Students need to bring their music, music stands and pencils to each rehearsal and they are expected to arrive, tune, set up their chairs, stands and music themselves and eagerly await the arrival of their Coach!
And please mount your music on a Board so it never blows off and so you can write on it!!!

2-1 All (back at Schoolhouse)

2-15 Only Ira’s 4:30 and 6:30 chamber groups meet today (at Schoolhouse) because of Valentine’s Day Concerts ♥ AND Pam’s Octet will go out to dinner after the Valentine’s Concert and then Meet at Schoolhouse at 6:30!
2-22 NO Group = VACATION
THERE WILL BE NO CHAMBER GROUPS FOR PAM, RACHEL OR SOFIA UNTIL 4-19 WHILE WE SCHEDULE INTENSE SOIREE REHEARSALS FOR ALL but Ira will still fit all of his in somehow J
